While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Yikes!! Probably the worst pizza I've had in a long time. It was so burnt on the bottom the crust was falling apart.

This place is completely mismanaged from the day they opened in Island Lake. The food is hit or miss and they are SLOW. We have eaten there twice, carried out twice, and gotten delivery twice. Never the same quality. Tonight, I got the double whammy. My wife ordered a 16" pizza, sausage, mushroom, and garlic. Plus an order of garlic dough nuggets. This was at 6:55pm on Sunday night and all for delivery. She was told approx 45 minutes. At 7:50pm I called to get a status on my order, I was told "It's on its way." I called again at 8:05 pm asking where my order is, as I explained I only live 5 minutes from Panhandler's. I was told they have only 1 driver and he took 4 or 5 orders to deliver. I then explained that would mean my order was 30 to 40 minutes old by the time I get it and that was unacceptable. The girl on the phone said she would credit our acct. $10. I told her no way, just cancel my order. I then explained that customers should be informed that they were down to just 1 driver and not to offer 45 minute delivery. I then explained that this is the second time this has happened with them and just cancel my order, I will go back to a competitor in town. She then couldn't figure out what we ordered, or what our order total was, but she would credit the whole thing when the driver got back. I have no idea if this happened or not, but the driver did arrive at 8:12pm. I told my wife just sign for it and we will see how it was. Yep!!! Pizza was cold and rubbery....plus whoever made it does not realize that the WHOLE pizza gets ingredients. The mushrooms were ALL in the center of the pizza and the sausage was mostly on one side. To top it all off, we were sent an order of dessert cinnamon dough nuggets, not the garlic ones like we ordered. There is absolutely NO quality control here. Maybe it was the girl in flip flops and no socks making the pizza again. Never again.

I'd give this place negative stars but it won't let me, this was without a doubt the worst food I've had in a long time. We ordered delivery and it took 45 minutes to get less than two miles from their location. The food was cold and rubbery when we got it and it was way over priced for what it was. I don't ever want to eat here again.

The food is fair. NEVER crowded. Could these be related??? I agree with the other review... How could food take soooo long when nobody else is there. I have never seen anyone over the age of 25 working here. Business decision? "Let's let kids run the place and we'll just stop by and rake in the profits"??

I only stopped in for a hot dog on the way home and the place seemed clean and friendly, but the fact it took over six minutes to get a hot dog and it was cold was enough reason not to try again soon. It wasn't busy, no other customers in there when I walked in. Take the hot dog out of the water, throw it on a bun with the condiments and there you go in under a minute. I know it's not really a dog but the "hot" part would be nice. I also think I found the only place in the Chicago area that doesn't use celery salt and sport peppers on hot dogs. I thought they were trying to push the hot dogs there. They were on special for a couple weeks. I guess not.

I like this place a lot, and would give it five stars, but it is pretty slow and they need to work on customer service. I love the salads and wraps here. The pizza is good, too. I haven't tried everything, but the salads alone keep me coming back. Delicious. They just need to work on 1-customer service, and 2-the speed. I mean, they are SLOW. I guess it's a good thing the food is so good, it's almost worth the wait!
